scenes of childhood
cease to exist, for this little girl
who couldnt smile back
at the age of four..
the world had lost its charm
and laughter a distant dream
senescence' come too early..
before words flowed in stream..
fear pervades those naive eyes..
the dark truth of life exudes
through its silent outcries..
wht maturity cannot withstand..
innocence is forced to bear...
what a child' s stare means
nobody stops to care...
what turmoil could tht nascent heart hold..
so much so..
tht she couldnt smile back
at the age of four...

you are very good at imagery, i donno what ur original inspiration for the kid was, but it conveys a picture of a destitute girl begging or in child labor?...>??

Hey,
I'm quite tired of poetry on blogs off late..but read this one nevertheless.
Its as simple as it could get but speaks so much as to strike one's chords.
Hope to see more of your blog.
Thanks for writing this.
